Students at University Academy Kidsgrove (UAK) are again celebrating positive GCSE results, as grades across subjects show a continued improvement on last year. The number of students receiving a grade 8 or 9 has also increased significantly for 2018. Pupil’s results in Art, Spanish, Science, History & English compare favourably with national figures for 2018.
Principal Andy Bygrave said: “I would like to congratulate all pupils, parents and staff at the Academy. These results are further evidence that our focus on improving teaching and learning continues to have a positive impact on the attainment and progress for students of all abilities. This is also reflected in the increased applications to join the Academy in September. Our latest GCSE results support Ofsted’s judgement about the Academy’s continued improvement and we now look forward to welcoming our new starters for the next academic year.”
The performance of the following pupils deserves special mention;
Holly Blasé; Achieved Grade 9s and Grade 8s
Erika Jacques; Achieved Grade 9s and Grade 8s
Billy Mollart; Achieved Grade 9s and Grade 8s
Mason Smith: Achieved Grade 9s and Grade 8s
The Academy wishes all our students every success as they move on to higher or further education, apprenticeships and employment.
