UAK raised over £250 for Douglas Macmillan Hospice today after students decided to organise a charity coffee morning.
Pupils, staff and parents baked a variety of delicious cakes, biscuits and scones for the event which the students served up with tea and coffee in exchange for donations.
The day was a great success and everyone enjoyed the cakes. Our Peer Mentors worked particularly hard, giving up their time during break and lunch to ensure everything went well.
Douglas Macmillan is the only adult hospice in North Staffordshire, offering valuable support to patients and their families. Most of their funding comes from people like us, raising funds in the local community. Visit http://www.dmhospice.org.uk to find out more.
