`Twas brillig, and the year 7 students of University Academy Kidsgrove performed their own dramatic interpretations of Lewis Carroll’s famous nonsense poem “Jabberwocky”.
Using props and backgrounds to set the scene and atmosphere, each group devised their own unique performance of the classic to act out before an audience of fellow year 7 students. Some chose humour to express the poem, whereas other performances were darker or more stylised.
The poem “Jabberwocky” appears in Lewis Carroll’s 1871 novel, “Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There” and is arguably the greatest work of nonsense in the English language!
A frabjous day was had by all!
