Youth Parliament respresentatives at the opening of “The Meadows” new garden.

The Meadows GardenOn 22nd May pupils from our Youth Parliament visited the Meadows residential care home in Kidsgrove for the grand opening of their new garden.
Previously the students designed a garden for the residents to enjoy and helped out after school to clear the area of weeds and rubble so that the landscape gardeners could get to work straight away.
The Mayor of Kidsgrove, colleagues from Aspire Housing and The Sentinel were all in attendance. The students were proud of their achievement and said “It’s great to see all of our hard work was worth it”.
After the garden opening the pupils were invited to join the residents for tea and cake.
