Improving the roadside area at the bottom of Gloucester Road has been high on the agenda of Youth Parliament students from University Academy Kidsgrove all year. It has constantly been identified as a barren spot in the area and the students campaigned hard to spruce it up and make it more appealing. Now finally, after donations from the County Council and local businesses, £1,000 of flowers were planted. The students are really pleased with the outcome and are hoping to make more improvements to the local area and amenities in the near future.
Youth Parliament students regularly attend meetings at Kidsgrove Town Tall, where they discuss ways of improving their local area. The Youth Parliament students also discuss inter – generational projects for the local area.
